A bespoke booking and event-management app that runs the Centre's whole programme — live availability, deposits and payments, reminders, thank-yous and review nudges. Booking organisers also load their own events via a custom dashboard that auto-publishes both the website listing and the matching social posts.

A booking system built around your business — not the other way around

Off-the-shelf booking software bends your business to fit its rules. We do it the other way round: your hire types, your pricing, your hours, your wording, your brand. Here’s one we built for the Papanui Spiritual Centre.

A visitor checks a live calendar, picks a time, and sends a request. The Centre gets an email — Accept or Decline, one click. Accept, and the rest happens on its own:

  • the slot locks into their Google Calendar, so it can never be double-booked
  • the customer gets a secure payment link (Stripe), and once they’ve paid, their confirmation and arrival details land automatically
  • three days out, they’re sent a friendly reminder
  • the day after, a thank-you with a nudge to leave a Google review
  • need to change or cancel? The customer does it themselves — the calendar clears, the committee is told, and nothing’s left double-booked

No spreadsheet. No chasing payments. No back-and-forth. What used to be an inbox full of “is the hall free on the 14th?” is now a system that books, charges, confirms, reminds and follows up — entirely on its own.

One step further — event listings that publish themselves

The same system runs the Centre’s events programme. An event organiser logs in to a custom dashboard, fills in the details once, and the platform takes care of the rest:

  • the event page goes live on the website automatically
  • a matching social media post is generated and scheduled at the same time
  • nothing has to be re-typed into three different tools, and nothing gets out of sync
