Hi, I'm Kat.
Some say she dreams in pixels, and she speaks fluent binary. All we know is she's called Kat, and she loves Top Gear references.
I've been building websites for over 20 years. I started out in marketing and tech, ran digital transformation projects for major NZ brands, picked up an MBA from the University of Canterbury along the way, then started Pixelsmith to work directly with small businesses on the kind of websites I actually wanted to build.
What I sell is a website. A good one. Built quickly, priced honestly, looking after the things that actually matter for your business: speed, clarity, the path from visitor to enquiry.
The best part of this work is the variety. I get to help all sorts of interesting people navigate the broader digital world: brand, online presence, and (through my other business, Binary Refinery) AI strategy and the harder operational technology questions.
When you hire Pixelsmith, you work with me directly. Same person from the first call through to launch, and still there when you need a tweak two years later.
Away from the desk I enjoy trail running. I've completed all of New Zealand's Great Walks and I'm now working my way through the Ancient Wonders Of The World. If not on foot, I'm probably on a motor, racing my partner on the track or the water.
