What I collect, and why.

No surprises, no trackers selling your data. Just enough to run a small business website.

The short version

Pixelsmith is run by Kat Mac in Ōtautahi Christchurch. The data this site handles falls into two buckets: things you type into the contact form, and anonymous traffic stats. Both exist so I can run the business properly. I don't sell or share any of it.

The contact form

When you fill in the form, the details — your name, email, phone if given, business name, the message, and which tier you're considering — get emailed to me at hello@pixelsmith.co.nz via Resend. I keep those emails in my inbox so I can reply and so I have a record of our conversation. I don't add you to any mailing list or share your details with anyone else.

If you'd like me to delete your enquiry from my records, email me and I will.

Analytics

I use Google Analytics 4 and Cloudflare Web Analytics to see roughly which pages people visit and where they came from — the kind of information you'd see by glancing at a foot-traffic counter. No personally identifying information is collected, no data is sold, and no advertising profiles are built.

If you'd rather not be counted at all, your browser's "Do Not Track" setting, an ad-blocker, or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on will all do the job.

Hosting & email

The site is served by Cloudflare (Auckland edge nodes for most NZ visitors). Email runs through Google Workspace. Both are reputable global providers; their privacy practices are documented on their own sites if you want the deep detail.

Your rights under the Privacy Act 2020

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask me what personal information I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Drop me a line and I'll sort it within a week.

Updates

If I change anything material on this page I'll bump the date below. The current version was last updated May 2026.
